WIDE-AWAKE
Music video for the song "Wide-Awake" by Atlanta based musician Johnny Dang as "Hisself".
My intention with the imagery in the music video was to reach out into a varied spectrum of feelings and styles - from beautiful to sublime and from cinematic to experimental - while aiming to create a cohesive visual piece that feels like it is an extension of the music itself - not something that is wholly separate from the music. The imagery was filmed mostly in the Southeastern United States, while on a spur of the moment trip from Chicago to the coastal regions of Alabama and Louisiana, and back.
